Chapter 263

Accidental love novel Chapter 263

After saying this, Serena turned to leave. But Rick suddenly sat up and said, “It’s not easy for you to get out of the haze of the past. Just live your own life now. If you became the stepmother of someone else’s child, what would the media say?”

Did she want to be an international movie star or the laughing stock of the performing arts circle?

Serena raised her head and asked, “I have been written about so many scandals by the media. I don’t care about one more time, but if you mind my past…”

Serena’s face was stained with a wry smile. She knew better than anyone how much pressure public opinion would produce.

Rick looked at her expression and couldn’t avoid it anymore. Some things should be made clear now.

So he got up and pulled Serena into the room, then he closed the door.

He said to Serena seriously, “I have a son, and I must raise him.”

“It is not difficult to raise a child on your terms.” Serena didn’t think it would be a stain.

Rick took a deep breath. He knew that Serena was determined to take this step. If he cowered again, would he still be a man?

He paused for a moment, sat down beside Serena and said, “Actually, Luis is my brother’s son. I did have a girlfriend who was talking about marriage before. But a few years ago, she lost her life in an airplane accident.”

“My brother gave birth to this child when he was young and unmarried, but he didn’t want to take responsibility, so he abandoned Luis. I adopted the child. I didn’t want other children to have a prejudice against him, so I asked him to call me dad and treat him as my own son.”

Rick was protecting Luis in this way.

“I have raised him for such a long time and developed deep feelings with him. I can’t abandon him anymore, so…”

Serena looked at him with a smile, “Sure enough, I was right about what kind of person you are. You are indeed excellent and kind. But compared to you, I just…”

“You didn’t do anything wrong. In that case, you were also the victim. I have never despised you because of those things.” Rick’s expression was totally serious, “On the contrary, I would worry that you would be more sad if you were with me, for enduring rumors outside.“

“I’m not afraid of rumors.” Serena raised her head firmly and said, “Although I am not as smart as Anna, I will not shrink from dealing with feelings. I know what I want.”

“As long as you don’t dislike what happened in my past, I am willing to get close to you. You make me believe that there is still love in this world.”

Rick didn’t hesitate anymore. He forcefully hugged Serena in his arms.

He shouldn’t endure for so long. Serena was more sober than anyone else. No matter what she had experienced, she still had the courage to pursue what she wanted.

“Now that you have made it clear, there is no chance for regret.”

“Did your parents know about Luis?”

“I didn’t tell them about it. So when they found out I had a son, they refused to see me.”

It turned out that he was already in a helpless situation, but he had to make efforts to hold on.

“We’ll be together ever after.”

…

Serena wanted to tell Anna about her and Rick’s being together as soon as possible. But now it was late at night in France, and Jack answered the call she made.

“What’s the matter?”

“Mr. Jiang?” Serena looked at the number in the call to make sure that she hadn’t made a mistake. “Where is Anna?”

“She rested. I will convey what you said to her.” Jack was still calm.

Rick chuckled softly. He knew that Serena wanted to spend more time with Luis, “Well, I also rest today…”

Serena raised her head and blinked. A slight disappointment flashed across her bright eyes. She had wanted to find a place to cultivate her feelings with him. However, considering the current situation and the relationship between them, she should not cause any trouble.

The less trouble, the better. She wanted to make Rick’s job easier.

Rick saw through her worries immediately, “When aunt comes to take care of Luis, you could come to my study.”

“What’s the matter?”

“The impact of this incident was so severe that your agent must take responsibility! Do you want this kind of things to happen again?”

Nevertheless, Feher’s career was not caused by her agent absolutely, she was also responsible.

She wanted to arrange her work earlier, maybe in such a hurry… But for whom did she do this!

Serena bit her lip and said aggrievedly, “Director Rick, could you be merciful to my agent?”

“No, because I’m not just your artist director!”

He was still her boyfriend, so he would care more about her.

Rick’s words made Serena blush, which were too appealing.

There was a special sweet feeling spreading in her heart…

Fortunately, they did not hesitate any longer. Fortunately, she took that step!

["post-2577","chapter","type-chapter","status-publish","hentry
["GET
