Stella didn’t say a word. She just closed her eyes, trembling as she leaned toward his lips.<\/p>\n
Right before they touched, he turned his head away.<\/p>\n
Stella opened her eyes, looking at him with anxious uncertainty.<\/p>\n
“This is just a marriage of convenience. Fulfilling our physical duties is enough. Kissing really isn’t appropriate,” he said, his face cold.<\/p>\n
Stella froze for a second, then lowered her eyelashes and gave a meek nod. “Mhm. I understand.”<\/p>\n
Since then, no matter how physically entangled they got, neither of them ever attempted to kiss the other.<\/p>\n
But right now, Stella had her arms wrapped tightly around him.<\/p>\n
