Before Julian could see a thing, Sebastian swiftly locked the screen.<\/p>\n
“What are you looking at? Haven’t you heard of privacy?” Sebastian snapped, clearly annoyed.<\/p>\n
Julian immediately feigned a deeply wounded expression. “Seb, since when did you get so secretive with me? You used to share everything, and now you’re hiding a simple text message?”<\/p>\n
Ignoring Julian’s theatrics, Sebastian stood up. “I’m going to the restroom.”<\/p>\n
“Are you kidding me? You have to go to the bathroom just to reply to a text? Are you hiding some dirty secret in there or something?” Julian shouted after him.<\/p>\n
Sebastian ignored him, stepping into the bathroom and lighting up his screen.<\/p>\n
Stella’s reply was perfectly mundane, devoid of any romantic undertones, but Sebastian didn’t want Julian to spot it and start putting pieces together.<\/p>\n
He intended to wait until Stella and Jarrod’s divorce was finalized before officially pursuing her and revealing his true identity.<\/p>\n
Until then, the fewer people who knew, the better.<\/p>\n
After a brief exchange with Stella, Sebastian walked back into the living room.<\/p>\n
Julian was drinking alone and watching a game, thankfully dropping the interrogation.<\/p>\n
Sebastian raised his glass and clinked it against Julian’s. “Relax. When the time is right, I’ll tell you everything.”<\/p>\n
Julian snorted. “So mysterious.”<\/p>\n
By the time Julian left Sebastian’s place, it was nearly midnight. Unable to help himself, he sent Jarrod a voice note dishing on Sebastian’s highly suspicious behavior.<\/p>\n
“I didn’t catch the actual text, but I saw the background photo on their chat. It was a picture of a woman’s back!”<\/p>\n
Julian continued, “Seb is completely hooked. The woman hasn’t even finalized her divorce yet and he’s already acting like this. If he actually wins her over, I bet he’ll make her his lock screen!”<\/p>\n
Knowing Jarrod likely wouldn’t reply, Julian hit send and went to bed.<\/p>\n
