Only then did Felton finally reach for his milk tea. Drops of condensation slid down the sides of the cup. The chill cut through the hot, sticky air, and for a moment things felt a little calmer. He swallowed and frowned slightly. \u201cActually, you know what\u2019s weird? My ex came to find me this time because she got a text from a stranger. Someone told her I was going on dates, said I was about to get married. She tried calling the number back, but nobody ever picked up\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
There was a pressure building in her ears, making her face go pale. She pressed her fingertips to her temple and handed the phone back.<\/p>\n

Felton saw how out of it she looked and knew better than to question it. He walked her to the entrance of her apartment complex. Bonnie held herself together until she finally made it home.<\/p>\n
